BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, sleuths of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes arrived in West Bengal's Sandeshkali, North 24 Parganas to collect the reports of violence against SCs on 15th February, Thursday.

The chief of NCSC, Arun Haldar stressed that the commission will listen to the suppressed voices and submit the report to the government at 11:00 AM tomorrow. Moreover, Haldar argued that people were not given the chance to express their concerns in Sandeshkali. He further emphasized that NCSC is a constitutional body and not a government body.

Protests against TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh and his associates for alleged land-grabbing and systemic sexual exploitations of women turned violent on 9th February. WB Governor C.V Ananda Bose visited Sandeshkali on 12th February and expressed grief on witnessing the miseries of the residents
