Mumbai: Rahul Gomes Booked Under Covid Jumbo Centre Scam

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Mumbai police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) registered a case against The BMC contractor, Rahul Gomes on Wednesday Night concerning the Covid Jumbo Centre scam Case.

EOW registered a case against Rahul Gomes under sections 406,409,420 and 120(B) of IPC and started further investigation.

Aditya Thackeray’s alleged close aide was initially booked in the Tardeo Police Station and the case was later transferred to the EOW. The case was registered against Gomes, his vendors and unidentified officers who were allegedly involved in a Covid Jumbo Centre fraud of Rs. 37 crores. 

The founder of Oaks Management Consultancy, Rahul Gomes was booked under sections of the IPC: 406(Criminal breach of trust), 409 (criminal breach of trust by a public servant, banker, merchant, or agent) 420 (cheating)and 120 B (criminal conspiracy).
