Manipur Abduction: CBI Files Charge-sheets against Five Accused

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed two separate Charge-sheets in Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court, Kamrup Metropolitan, Guwahati against the five accused in two interlinked cases of Manipur Violence on 2nd January Tuesday, says CBI.  

The CBI-led security forces arrested four accused; two men, Paominlun Haokip and S Malsawm Haokip along with two women suspects; Lhingneichong Baitekuki and Tinneilhing Henthang on October 1 in connection with the abduction and murder of two  Meitei students. 

The fifth fugitive accused, Paolun Mang, was arrested on 11th October 2023, from Pune 

 The boy, Takyel’s Phijam Hemanjit Singh, 20-year-old and a minor girl, Luwangbi Linthoigambi Hijam, 17-year-old, were allegedly kidnapped by Kuki Militants in Laimaton on 6th July 2023
