Mamata Banerjee Slams BJP Over 'Unsafe Bengal' Remarks

BY A STAFF REPORTER: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee came heavily upon the Bharatiya Janata Party for marking West Bengal as unsafe on April 12, Friday. 

While addressing a rally in Cooch Behar, Mamata Banerjee claimed that BJP terms West Bengal as unsafe. She further questioned if Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi are safe. Moreover, Banerjee claimed that in the accident that happened in Jalpaiguri, the state government compensated the affected but what have they done for those people? 

Mamata Banerjee also slammed the BJP for allegedly nominating people with several criminal charges for the Lok Sabha elections. She also claimed that the TMC has nominated a clean candidate. Moreover, she asserted that she possesses evidence against the BJP candidate and she will disclose the entire case. 

The NIA arrested Abdul Matheen Taahaa and Mussavir Hussain Shazib, two masterminds behind the Bengaluru's Rameshwaram cafe blast from their hideout in Kolkata, West Bengal on Friday morning. Subsequently, the BJP stated that West Bengal is an unsafe state.
