Mamata Banerjee Inaugurates Sreebhumi Sporting Club Durga Puja, Stresses Unity in Diversity

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday inaugurated the Sreebhumi Sporting Club’s Durga Puja pandal, one of the most prominent celebrations in the state’s festive calendar. Addressing the gathering, she underlined the importance of Durga Puja as an occasion that transcends social and cultural boundaries.

“People from various communities, castes, religions, and linguistic backgrounds gather here to organise this Durga Puja. Everyone may have different ideologies, beliefs, and cultures, but they all come together in this celebration,” Banerjee said.

The Sreebhumi Sporting Club Durga Puja is widely known for its elaborate themes and grand decorations, often drawing large crowds from across the city and beyond. This year’s edition has once again attracted attention for its artistic design and community participation.
