BY A STAFF REPORTER: Amid the Swati Maliwal assault row, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday claimed that Swati Maliwal was pressurized by the High-level officials as she didn't register a complaint initially.

Nirmala Sitharaman stated "The fact that Swati Maliwal did not register a complaint with Police for 3-4 days (after the incident) means that there was pressure on her from a high level. There is reason to believe that there was enough pressure on her and probably continues on her."

Rajya Sabha MP and former Chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women Swati Maliwal was brutally assaulted by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's PA Bibhav Kumar in his residence on May 13. Swati Maliwal registered an FIR against Kumar on May 17, Friday.
