Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde Meets Salman Khan At His Residence

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Hours after the arrest of the accused, Maharashtra's Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Salman Khan's residence and met him on April 16, Tuesday.

The move came after Mumbai's Killa Court granted the custody of the accused, Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta to Mumbai Crime Branch for nine days till April 25th. The Crime Branch sought 14-day custody before the court. Eknath Shinde also spoke to Salman Khan right after the firing incident. 

The two accused, who reportedly fired gunshots outside Salman Khan's residence, hail from Champaran, Bihar, and are associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Sagar Gupta is the main accused who pulled the trigger outside Khan's residence. The shooters used a sophisticated weapon. Moreover, the shooters reportedly conducted a reconnaissance around Salman Khan's residence thrice before executing the attack.

Shortly after the incident, the shooters bolted to Gujarat via public transport. Subsequently, they drowned the weapon in a river in Surat and reached Bhuj. 

The Gujarat Police nabbed the two gunmen from Kachchh, Gujarat on Tuesday. Subsequently, they handed over the two accused to Mumbai Police. The shooters were flown down to Mumbai afterward.

Two shooters fired gunshots outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence 'Galaxy Apartments' in Mumbai at around 4:00 AM on April 14, Sunday. Lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmol Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the incident.
