BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a recent statement, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday asserted that perpetrators, who caused the Haldwani violence, will not spared for breaking the law.
He further stated that the rioters would not be spared as they had attempted to play with fire. Dhami mentioned that the authorities are demolishing encroachment from different parts of the state. As of now, five accused have been arrested in the case. Search operations for the other accused are underway.
After an Anti-encroachment drive, violence erupted in Haldwani's Banbhoolpura area. Reportedly, four individuals were killed and more than 100 police officers were injured. Responding to the violence, the administration imposed a curfew with a 'shoot-on-sight' order.
