Lakshadweep: Modi lays foundation stone for Rs. 1,156 cr. Projects
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several development projects worth Rs. 1,156 at Lakshadweep's capital, Kavaratti on 3rd January, Wednesday.

While addressing the crowd, Modi mentioned that the projects are related to the internet, electricity, water, health, and child care and that the Central Government's priority is to make every region and citizen's life easier. He also claimed that the UT didn't receive adequate attention from the center for decades after independence. Modi added that in the past 10 years, their party has prioritized the previously Neglected states.

Furthermore, PM distributed laptops, bicycles, Kisan Cards, and Ayushman cards to the beneficiaries of several schemes in Kavaratti
Additionally, Modi will be addressing an all-women crowd at the 'Sthree Shakthi Modikk Oppam' (Empower Women with Modi) convention at Thrissur's Thekkinkadu ground, Kerala. The convention is held as a thanks-giving for passing the Women's Reservation Bill.
