Kharagpur Division to observe 'Shramdaan' tomorrow

By A Staff Reporter : Kharagpur Division joins in the Government of India's call for citizens to engage in "Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta" an initiative to promote community service and cleanliness. The division has proposed to organise "Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta" campaign on 1st October 2023 at 10 AM at all stations and railway staff as well as citizens are urged to dedicate one hour of voluntary service (Shramdaan), to enhance the cleanliness of their neighbourhoods in alignment with the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign.

Kharagpur division along with all railway units are observing Swachhta Hi Seva/ Swachhta Pakhwada from 16.09.2023 to 02.10.2023 with a view to bring tangible improvement in the level of cleanliness at various railway establishments.

About 400 events were created on the Swachhta hi seva – Citizens portal by this division. During the event on 01st Oct 2023 from 10.00 am, shramdaan will be organised at various railway units and stations by the railway employees along with the active participation of the general public to ensure clean and hygienic stations and workplaces.

Various officers are nominated at different locations of this division to participate and monitor the Shramdaan drive to observe the Swachhta hi seva campaign. GM/SER will also be actively participating in the swachhta campaign tomorrow at Shalimar station.
