Furthermore, Kaustav Bagchi tendered his resignation from the Indian National Congress on 28th February, citing 'lack of respect' as the reason.

Moreover, Rana Goswami resigned from the post of working president of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee. According to prominent BJP leaders such as Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and State BJP President Bhabesh Kalita, he will join BJP today.
