Karnataka High Court Fines CM Siddaramaiah, 2 ministers, Cong Leader

The Karnataka High Court imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000 on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah along with two cabinet ministers MB Patil, Ramalingam Reddy, and Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala on 6th February, Tuesday.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Karnataka High Court imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000 on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah along with two cabinet ministers MB Patil, Ramalingam Reddy, and Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala on 6th February, Tuesday. 

The leaders and CM are fined for participating in a protest in April 2022 where they called for KS Eshwarappa's arrest concerning the death of contractor Santosh Patil.

CM, two cabinet ministers, and the Congress leader have been asked to appear before the People's Representatives' court. The court has asked Siddaramaiah to appear on 6th March, Transport Minister Ramalingam Reddy on 7th March, and Congress Karnataka in-charge Surjewala along with heavy industries minister Patil on 15th March.
