By A Staff Reporter: Bengaluru - Petrol and diesel prices in Karnataka are set to rise as the state government revises sales tax to 29.84% and 18.44%, respectively. This adjustment is expected to increase petrol prices by approximately Rs 3 and diesel prices by Rs 3.05.
Reacting to the impending hike, Karnataka BJP leader BY Vijayendra announced plans for statewide protests. "We will stage protests across the state in all district centers and other places on Monday if the CM and the government do not take back the decision of price hike of petrol and diesel," Vijayendra declared. He demanded the government roll back the fuel price hike decision.
