Kargil War Veteran Dilip Kumar Patnaik Joins BJP In Odisha

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, Dilip Kumar Patnaik, former Eastern Air Commander and Kargil War Veteran, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on 3rd March, Sunday.

The new addition to BJP, Dilip Patnaik is a Vayu Sena Medal Awardee and he has served in the Indian Air Force for 38 years after retiring in 2022. Patnaik played a crucial role in the Kargil War between India and Pakistan in 1999.

The move comes a day after BJP announced its first list of candidates containing 195 names for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will contest from the Varanasi constituency.
