JP Nadda Condemns RG Kar Medical College Incident, Criticizes West Bengal Government
Union Health Minister and BJP national president JP Nadda strongly condemned the RG Kar Medical College rape-murder incident in West Bengal, criticizing the state government's handling of the case
In response to the tragic incident at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, where a young woman PG student was allegedly raped and murdered, Union Health Minister and BJP national president JP Nadda expressed deep sorrow and outrage. He described the incident as "heart-wrenching" and condemned it as an inhumane act that has shaken the nation.
Nadda criticized the West Bengal government for attempting to suppress the case, stating, "The way the incident took place and the way the government has tried to hide it, no amount of condemnation will be enough." He highlighted the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, emphasizing the increasing atrocities against women despite having a woman Chief Minister, which he found particularly concerning.
Welcoming the High Court's decision to order a CBI inquiry, Nadda expressed confidence that the investigation would uncover the truth. He also assured that the Central Government would take appropriate action against those involved, stating, "I will definitely find a remedy for this and I am sure that whatever steps are necessary, the Government and the Ministry will take them."
