BY A STAFF REPORTER: The former IPS officer Lalduhoma, once in charge of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's security holds centre stage in Mizoram as his party Zoram People's Movement pushes towards a landslide victory in the assembly polls. The ruling MNF led by chief minister Zoramthanga banked more on Naga-Kuki votes and was vocal against Centre and BJP, blaming the Maniour government for aiding the Meities.  Lalduhoma, considered close to the BJP, was waiting in the sidelines for the last few years and triumphed this year. The BJP also fared well leading in three seats to open their account leaving fractured Congress almost out of the state.
