BY A STAFF REPORTER: Amid the Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday took a strong jibe at the Congress and stated that the country would have been five decades ahead if Congress didn't form the government after independence.
While addressing a rally in Mumbai, PM Modi emphasized that the government which did not trust the capabilities of Indians, was inefficient. He claimed that some of the former Prime Ministers called Indians lazy at the Red Fort. "Under the guidance of Gandhiji, if the Congress had been dissolved after independence, the country would have been 5 decades ahead from now." He added.

Mumbai will go to polls on May 20, in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections. key constituencies are Mumbai North, Mumbai North-West, Mumbai North-East, Mumbai North-Central, Mumbai South-Central, and Mumbai South.
