BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant claim, Himachal Pradesh LoP and BJP leader Jairam Thakur on Tuesday signaled that the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led Congress government may be toppled in Himachal Pradesh.

On being asked if the BJP is about to demand a floor test, Jairam Thakur asserted that the current state government has lost the majority. He also stated that the decision will come after the budget presentation for HP which is tomorrow. 

Moreover, Rajya Sabha elections are underway in Himachal Pradesh. BJP has placed former Congress MLA and ex-minister Harsh Mahajan, who recently joined BJP, against Congress' Abhishek Manu Singhvi. Furthermore, Congress' 40 MLAs have exercised their votes. CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu stated that if no Congress MLA is poached then their government will get 40/40 votes.
