Hemant Soren's Plea To Attend Budget Session Rejected By PMLA Court

In a significant move, the Ranchi PMLA Court on Thursday rejected former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren's plea seeking permission to attend the upcoming state budget session from tomorrow.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, the Ranchi PMLA Court on Thursday rejected former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren's plea seeking permission to attend the upcoming state budget session from tomorrow.

However, Hemant Soren was granted permission to attend the floor test of Champai Soren-led JMM government on 5th February. Although, Soren will not attend the state budget session beginning from 23rd February.

Currently in judicial remand, Hemant Soren was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on 31st January in connection with a money laundering case involving alleged land scam and illegal mining scam.
