Helping Hands Sets Up First Counselling Centre In Arunachal's Ziro

The Counselling Centre has been set up at the Mahatma Gandhi Centre. Moreover, Helping Hands' founder IPS Robin Hibu has collaborated with Internationally recognized organizations, Counsel India and Medhavi Skill University for the project.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: To alleviate the increasing mental health issues, Helping Hands established the first Counselling Centre in Ziro's Hong Village, Arunachal Pradesh on April 25, Thursday.

The Counselling Centre has been set up at the Mahatma Gandhi Centre. Moreover, Helping Hands' founder IPS Robin Hibu has collaborated with Internationally recognized organizations, Counsel India and Medhavi Skill University for the project. 

The centre aims to provide counselling services to Northeast Community's youth suffering from deteriorating mental health. Moreover, the Counselling Centre offers various services including individual counselling, stress management workshops, trauma recovery therapy, anger management sessions, self-esteem programs, and life/career coaching services.

The Centre has been established in the view of rising mental health issues seen in the youth of Northeast regions. As per the data,  4916 persons committed suicides in Northeastern states out of which 85% were below 30 years of age in 2023.
