Heavy rains likely in Bengal for next 7 days, orange alert issued

By A STAFF REPORTER: Finally, there is news of relief for the people of West Bengal. This time the monsoon has entered the entire state. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon has completely entered the entire state from Friday. There is a possibility of rain in the entire West Bengal in the next few days.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rains in the districts of South Bengal for the next seven days. There will be moderate to heavy rains in all the districts of North Bengal. Due to the low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, almost all the districts of the state will receive rainfall. 

However, low pressure is likely to form over Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal near northwest Bay. There will be light to moderate rains in Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly, North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas and Nadia. There will also be moderate to heavy rains in the districts of North Bengal. An orange alert has been issued in the districts of North Bengal.
