Hailstorm continued its rampage in Manipur throughout the night

By a staff reporter: The hailstorm started in Manipur on Sunday afternoon. As the day progresses, the weather in Manipur worsens. Along with gale force, hailstorms lashed Manipur overnight. According to local sources, no one was prepared for this strong storm in advance. As a result, many crops on the land have been destroyed.

A lot of seasonal fruits like mango and jackfruit have been damaged due to this hailstorm. Kanchipuram and Tera areas in the western districts of Imphal district were the worst affected by this storm. The force of the storm was so powerful that the roofs of the houses were leaking and large chunks of ice got inside them. 

According to sources, after this severe disaster, Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has assured help to the victims. The administration is trying hard to normalize the situation in Manipur.
