BY A STAFF REPORTER: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Sudarshan Setu which will connect Okha mainland to Beyt Dwarka Island in Gujarat on 25th February, Sunday.

Constructed at the cost of Rs. 980 crores, Sudarshan Setu is the longest cable-stayed bridge in the country around 2.3 Km.

Moreover, Sudarshan Setu's unique design consists of verses from the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita and images of Bhagwan Krishna on the footpaths of both sides. Along with this, solar panels, generating one megawatt of electricity, are installed on upper portions of footpaths.

Additionally, the pilgrims traveling between Dwarka and Beyt-Dwarka had to sail on boat before the construction of Sudarshan Setu. Consequently, Sudarshan Setu will facilitate transportation for the devotees by significantly reducing time.
