BY A STAFF REPORTER: TMC Rajya Sabha MP Sagarika Ghose condemned Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's arrest and termed it a fundamental assault on democracy on March 23, Saturday.

Sagarika Ghose stated "The arrest of Arvind Kejriwal is nothing short of condemnable, it is a fundamental assault on democracy. Aside from the fact that he is a sitting CM and a major leader of the opposition, he has been elected three times, he is a three-time Delhi CM, twice with a huge majority; so to arrest Arvind Kejriwal in this manner is disdain for the people of Delhi"

Furthermore, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court Remanded Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal to ED Custody till March 28 in the Delhi Liquorgate case on March 22, Friday.   The decision came as ED demanded 10-day custody of Kejriwal and submitted 28 pages of evidence alleging his involvement in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam.

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on Thursday evening.
