BY A STAFF REPORTER: As the Delhi Chalo March continues, Farmers have launched a 'Rail Roko' (halt rails) protest across Punjab on 15th February, Thursday.

Set to begin around noon, the farmers will sit on railway tracks to halt rail operations across seven locations. Moreover, it will continue till 4:00 PM. The protest is launched against the use of tear gas shells and water cannons by the police authorities during the farmers' protest at the Haryana-Shambhu border.

The authorities used tear-gas shells and water cannons to disperse the massive crowd of protesting farmers who were en route to Delhi to participate in the large-scale farmers' protest, namely the 'Delhi chalo march', predominantly seeking legal assurance of MSP (minimum selling price). The protests grew violent on the Haryana-Shambhu border as the agitated protesters vandalized flyover barricades.
