BY A STAFF REPORTER: The former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray, announced on Saturday that he has not received an invitation to the upcoming Ram Temple consecration ceremony. In response, Thackeray disclosed his plans to lead a 'Maha-aarti' along with the party leaders at the Kalaram Temple, situated on the banks of the Godavari river in Nashik.

Thackeray stated that the consecration of the Ram Temple is a matter of pride and self-respect and to mark the occasion, he will be visiting Kalaram temple where Dr. B.R. Ambedkar staged protests for the entry of Dalits in the temple. Moreover, the temple is dedicated to Lord Ram as he resided in Panchvati with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman during their exile.

The Ram Temple consecration ceremony will take place in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh on 22nd January.
