Ex-Gujarat Deputy CM Responds To Rahul Gandhi's 'Modi-OBC' Remarks
The former Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat and BJP MP Narhari Amin asked Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to apologize for his remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's caste on 8th February, Thursday.
BY A STAFF REPORTER: The former Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat and BJP MP Narhari Amin asked Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to apologize for his remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's caste on 8th February, Thursday.
Through his X handle, he claimed that during his tenure as the Deputy CM of Gujarat in the Congress government, the Modh-Ghanchi caste, to which Modi belongs, was notified as OBC on 25th July 1994. Moreover, Amin accused Rahul Gandhi of insulting the OBC community by cooking up mindless lies. He further asked Gandhi to apologize to the people of Gujarat for possessing hate towards PM Modi.
The statement comes after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was born in the general category and not the 'OBC' category. Gandhi further stated that Narendra Modi was born in the Teli caste which was not counted in the OBC category during his birth. Moreover, he said that the Teli caste was included in the OBC category in 2000 by the BJP
