BY A STAFF REPORTER: Shortly after announcing his resignation, former BJP MP Rahul Kaswan joined the Indian National Congress in the National. Capital on 11th March, Monday.

Rahul Kaswan was welcomed in the party by National Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee President Govind Singh Dotasra Party's state charge Sukhjinder Singh. Subsequently, Kaswan addressed a presser and revealed that he had left the BJP due to multiple reasons including farmers' protest. He expressed gratitude to top Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and others. 

Rahul Kaswan, who has been an MP from Churu constituency in Rajasthan for around 10 years, announced his resignation from the primary membership and post of MP on his X handle earlier today. He was denied the ticket for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections by the BJP and replaced with Paralympian Devendra Jhajharia.
