By Aditi Chakraborty, Principal, St Jude’s School: In an era where environmental concerns are paramount, it is crucial to educate our students about the impact of their choices.
On the 5th of July, our school dedicated a day to environmental consciousness and action.
I am immensely proud to witness our Judeans take inspiring steps to weave sustainability into their lives.
They chose gamchas over synthetic fibers, pledged to say no to plastic by using cloth bags and metal straws, and supported local farmers by buying locally sourced produce.
They also advocated for the use of cane baskets, endorsing eco-friendly choices and honoring the craftsmanship of traditional artisans.
In a heartwarming gesture, they gathered fruits, vegetables, gamchas, and saplings in cane baskets, distributing them to those in need.
This day of awareness and commitment will leave a lasting impact on our school community. Let’s continue to make a difference together.
