ECI Revises Counting Schedule For Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim

BY A STAFF REPORTER: A day after announcing the Lok Sabha Elections Schedule, the Election Commission of India altered the counting schedule from June 4 to June 2 in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim on March 17, Sunday.

The decision comes as the Legislative Assemblies in both states will complete their tenure on June 2.

The Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on March 16. The election will be held in seven phases beginning on April 19. Moreover, the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect since the announcement and will be imposed till the result declaration.
