BY A STAFF REPORTER: Bihar government appointed 1989 batch IPS officer Alok Raj as the new state director general of police. Raj, who has marvelled in anti-naxal operations and is credited to have ended the Maoists operations in Bihar, Odisha and Chattisgarh.
Raj was known as a no nonsense officer having conducted several elections successfully. The Muzaffarpur born IPS officer has got several awards in his illustrious career including President's police medal.
