BY A STAFF REPORTER: A clash broke out between Trinamool Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party workers during BJP MP Dilip Ghosh's visit in Durgapur, West Bengal on April 8, Monday.

Shortly after the altercation, Dilip Ghosh took a jibe at the TMC and stated "This is TMC's attitude. Some people had come here to protest and they have been removed. So many people have come here to see me, that is why the TMC workers are protesting." The situation was later controlled by the intervention of police officials.

Dilip Ghosh is the national Vice President of BJP. He also serves as the MP from Medinipur constituency in the Lok Sabha Assembly. Moreover, he served as the President of the West Bengal BJP unit from 2015 to 2021.
