"Driver Was Drunk": School Bus Accident Kills 5 Students In Haryana

A survivor student reported that the bus driver was inebriated and rashly drove the bus at the speed of 120 which misbalanced the bus, eventually leading to the accident.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a major tragedy, five students were killed and 15 were injured in a private school bus accident as the driver was allegedly drunk in Mahendragarh's Kanina, Haryana on April 11, Thursday.

The students were from Haryana's Jain Public School. 50 students were traveling on the bus. A survivor student reported that the bus driver was inebriated and rashly drove the bus at the speed of 120 which misbalanced the bus, eventually leading to the accident. 

Ravi Kaushik, a doctor at the Nihal hospital claimed that four students were brought dead after the accident. Another student, who was critically injured, was put on the ventilator but passed away in nearly 15 minutes due to a brain hemorrhage. The other 15 students who survived were shifted to another hospital. Moreover, the SDM and administration were also present in the hospital.
