Delhi Court Extends Manish Sisodia's Judicial Custody Till April 26

In a significant move, the Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday extended Delhi's former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia's judicial custody till April 26 in the excise policy case.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, the Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday extended Delhi's former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia's judicial custody till April 26 in the excise policy case.

This comes a week after Manish Sisodia submitted an interim bail plea for election campaigning. The Aam Aadmi Party announced him as a star campaigner with arrested Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Satender Jain for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Wednesday. Sisodia is currently lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail along with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and AAP leader Satyendra Jain. 

Manish Sisodia was initially arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on February 26, 2023. The Enforcement Directorate took over his arrest on March 9, 2023, in the Delhi liquor-gate policy case.
