Delhi bound flights delayed.. hugely.. but why ?

Hundreds of Delhi bound passengers were stranded inside planes or in Kolkata airport on Thursday evening. The official reason being turbulence in weather and apparent programme at the Delhi airport. The delay ranges from one hour to one and hours inconveniencing many passengers who landed in Delhi  well past midnight. Many complained that they had connecting flights to catch and were tense that they might miss the connecting flight. The airport police and airport authorities in Kolkata had no clue as to why the the flights were delayed. Passengers lamented the complete lack of information.
