Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary Stopped From Entering Sandeshkali

BY A STAFF REPORTER: A Congress delegation comprising West Bengal Congress President Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary headed to violence-hit Sandeshkali was stopped by police authorities in Rampur on 16th February, Friday.

In response, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary sat on a protest in Rampur. Moreover, a scuffle broke out between the Congress delegation and police authorities.

Furthermore, a six-member BJP delegation formed by party president JP Nadda was also stopped from entering Sandeshkali in Rampur today. The team was formed to investigate the allegations of systematic sexual exploitation and land-grabbing in Sandeshkali.

Protests against TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh and his associates for alleged land-grabbing and systemic sexual exploitations of women turned violent on 9th February. WB Governor C.V Ananda Bose visited Sandeshkali on 12th February and expressed grief on witnessing the grievances of the residents.
