Congress Is Seen As Alternative: Congress' Ghulam Ahmed Mir

BY A STAFF REPORTER: As ex-BJP MLA Jai Prakash Bhai Patel joins Congress, Congress leader Ghulam Ahmer Mir on Wednesday affirmed that Congress is now seen as an alternative and people are coming out in support of them

Ghulam Ahmed Mir claimed that many BJP leaders in Jharkhand are looking forward to joining BJP. He further stated that leaders of other parties except the BJP in West Bengal are also in touch with the Congress. Mir also affirmed that Congress is now seen as an alternative and people are coming out in support of them.

Former Jharkhand BJP MLA Jai Prakash Bhai Patel, who recently joined Congress, stated that he wants to fulfill his father's dream but doesn't see it achievable in the BJP. 

Jai Prakash Bhai Patel is the son of veteran politician late Teklal Mahto, who was the key and founding member of the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). Patel also succeeded Teklal Mahto as the MLA of Mandu Constituency. 

Suprisingly, former JMM MLA Sita Soren daughter-in-law of JMM founder Shibu Soren and sister-in-law of former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in New Delhi yesterday. She further stated that she resigned from JMM as she was allegedly sidelined in the party.
