Congress Finalised Candidates For 12 Lok Sabha Seats of Bengal

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, the Indian National Congress has reportedly finalized candidates for 12 Lok Sabha Seats of West Bengal during the Central Election Committee meeting held in Delhi on March 19, Tuesday. 

The Central Election Committee meeting was held at the All India Congress Committee Headquarters in the National Capital. Moreover, top Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and others were present in the meeting. 

The Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on March 16. The election will be held in seven phases beginning on April 19. West Bengal will face voting in all seven phases of the Lok Sabha Elections. Moreover, the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect since the announcement and will be imposed till the result declaration.
