BY A STAFF REPORTER: Raising the yearly income threshold for the creamy layer of the OBC category in government employment from ₹6 lakh to ₹8 lakh, exclusive of salary and agricultural revenue, is one of the main goals of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's administration. By conforming to central government criteria, this change aims to increase OBC candidates' access to job prospects. Furthermore, there is now a larger representation of the OBC population in Group-A and Group-B posts due to the rise in reserves for backward classes from 15 to 27 percent. Additionally, the government has made it a priority to clear the backlog of jobs designated for underprivileged groups.
The government of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has made great strides in improving job prospects and skill development for the OBC population. To give young people from the community more employment opportunities, the Haryana Skill Employment Corporation now reserves 27% of positions for OBC candidates. Reiterating the government's commitment to safeguarding and advancing OBC interests, CM Saini was the chief guest at the Sarva Samaj Samrasta Sammelan of OBC Morcha.
The state government has launched a number of programs to assist the OBC population with education and skill development in addition to job initiatives. OBC students are given scholarships to guarantee improved access to education, and skill development initiatives give them the tools necessary to thrive in the workforce. Backward areas, especially those with sizable populations of OBCs, have been identified by the federal government as aspirational districts, where continuous development plans are being executed to raise living standards.
CM Nayab Singh Saini has shown during his term that he is dedicated to providing advantages and equitable opportunity to all segments of society, with an emphasis on strengthening the OBC group. The government's initiatives have received high appreciation and are anticipated to significantly improve Haryana's socioeconomic situation in the long run.
