North Bengal has been devastated by heavy rains. Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted about the flood situation in North Bengal. Bengal CM tweeted that, "Tomorrow a high-level disaster management team will be sent to flood-hit North Bengal under the leadership of my Irrigation Minister and comprising the Secretaries of Disaster Management, Irrigation and Agriculture. Districts of North Bengal have received heavy rains, rivers swollen, roads disrupted, property damaged and people marooned. Deputy Commissioners and SPs are carrying out relief and rescue operations at the war level with the help of NDRF.  I am personally monitoring and have directed my CSK to monitor the field situation round the clock. No concessions will be made.”
