Kolkata: At the inauguration ceremony of Durga Puja in Jodhpur Park, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee extended her heartfelt wishes for the well-being of all citizens, emphasizing unity and harmony across religions, castes, and languages.
"I wish Maa Durga to keep everyone healthy," Banerjee said during her address, invoking blessings for the state's prosperity and well-being. She highlighted the inclusive spirit of West Bengal, remarking, "We take all religions, castes, and languages together."
The Chief Minister also praised the unique efforts made by the Jodhpur Park puja organizers, acknowledging their dedication to bringing fresh ideas to the annual celebration. "These people always do something new in Jodhpur Park," Banerjee noted, appreciating the creativity and enthusiasm of the community.
She urged everyone to stay cautious during the festivities, reminding attendees to prioritize family and safety. "Take care of everyone during the puja, stay with your family," she advised, further encouraging the local volunteer team to be proactive during the celebrations. "Keep the volunteer team of the club ready, the administration is with you, but you should also support us," Banerjee added, calling for cooperation between the public and the authorities to ensure a smooth and safe puja season.
