Center Grants 'Y+' Security To BJP Candidate Taranjit Singh Sandhu

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the Central Government provided 'Y+' category CRPF security cover to BJP candidate and former Indian diplomat Taranjit Singh Sandhu on April 10, Wednesday.

Taranjit Singh Sandhu joined the BJP on March 19. He was India's 28th Ambassador to the United States of America. The BJP nominated him from the Amritsar constituency, Punjab.

The center also granted 'Y' category CRPF security cover to Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar in all states across India on Tuesday. He was provided security cover due to international threats.
