BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a recent statement, West Bengal's governor C.V. Ananda Bose on Monday revealed that he called off his Kerala program as violence escalated in Sandeshkali, North 24 Parganas.
Moreover, the governor will visit Sandeshkali on 12th February. Bose informed that he was involved in organizing a week-long Bengal festival to showcase the cultural heritage of the state. However, after learning about Sandeshkali's violence, he canceled the program and will be visiting Sandeshkali to look after the situation.

The situation in Sandeshkali remains serious as the violent clashes and protests have caused unrest in the town. Moreover, a Senior CPM leader has been arrested in connection with protests.
