BY A STAFF REPORTER: In an unanticipated move, Calcutta High Court Judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay on Sunday notified that he is set to resign from his position on 5th March, Tuesday.
Moreover, Gangopadhyay will likely join politics after resigning as he has been allegedly 'challenged' by the Trinamool Congress leaders.

However, he has not revealed any information regarding which party he may join.
Furthermore, Abhijit Gangopadhyay will tender his resignation to President Droupadi Murmu. He will subsequently send a copy of it to the Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud, and Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court TS Sivagnanam.
