BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, the Calcutta High Court granted permission to BJP workers to stage a protest conditionally on 27th February, Tuesday.

Furthermore, a bench led by Kaushik Chanda passed the order on the BJP's plea seeking permission to perform a protest. However, some restrictions have been imposed on the protest such as the protest will be held with a maximum of 150 people on 28th February and 29th February from 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM without the use of loudspeakers.

Moreover, West Bengal BJP Office Secretary Pranoy Roy was the petitioner who filed the plea seeking permission to stage the protest outside the Gandhi Statue in Kolkata Maidan regarding the Sandeshkhali issue. As per BJP workers, the local police prohibited workers from staging a protest.
