BY A STAFF REPORTER: Days after walking out of the Tihar jail, AAP MP Sanjay Singh shared his experience of imprisonment on April 6, Saturday. 

Sanjay Singh claimed that he was not allowed to leave the cell initially. However, he sought normal prisoner treatment for himself. Subsequently, he was permitted to step out of his cell for a fixed time under police security and participate in recreational activities such as badminton and music. Singh also read novels of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr (Ram Manohar) Lohia, and Bhagat Singh. Moreover, He disclosed that he absorbed more knowledge from books in six months than he had in the previous six years of his life. He further stated that food-related issues were also addressed.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh walked out of the Tihar jail on Wednesday as the Supreme Court on Tuesday granted him bail as the ED failed to recover money pertinent to the scam. Moreover, he was arrested on October 4, 2023. However, the bail is not precedent. 

The authorities shifted Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to Tihar Jail and lodged him in jail number two following the orders of Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Monday. Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court granted Judicial custody of 15 days to Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Liquorgate on April 1, Monday. Previously, Kejriwal was under the Enforcement Directorate's custody in the Delhi excise policy case since his arrest.

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on March 21, Thursday.
