BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, West Bengal LoP and BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari welcomed former TMC MLA Tapas Roy's resignation on 4th March, Monday.
Suvendu Adhikari further notified that the BJP will discuss and consider if Tapas Roy requests to join the BJP. Moreover, Adhikari stated that Tapas Roy is a former state minister and four to five times MLA.
Furthermore, Suvendu Adhikari remarked that TMC is a 'Bua-Bhatija' (Aunt-Nephew) company rather than a political party. Adhikari also emphasized that good people must quit the party.

The statement comes after veteran TMC MLA and former state minister Tapas Roy tendered his resignation from the party today. Roy was displeased with the party's alleged indifference towards him and the Sandeshkhali matter.
