BJP Releases 12th List of Candidates For Lok Sabha Polls

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Bharatiya Janata Party released the 12th list of seven nominees for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on April 16, Tuesday.

The list features candidates from Punjab, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. In West Bengal, the BJP nominated Abhijit Das from Diamond Harbour against TMC's Abhishek Banerjee. Further, the BJP fielded Thakur Vishwadeep Singh from Firozabad and Shashank Mani Tripathi from Deoria in Uttar Pradesh. In Maharashtra, Chhatrapati Udayanraje Bhonsle is set to contest from Satara. Moreover, the BJP fielded Union Minister Anita Som Parkash from the Hoshiarpur constituency,  IAS officer Parampal Kaur Sidhu from Bathinda, and MLA Manjeet Singh Manna Mianwind from Khadoor Sahib in Punjab.

The Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on March 16. The election will be held in seven phases beginning on April 19. Moreover, the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect since the announcement and will be imposed till the result declaration.
