BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant development, Senior Advocate Jayant Mehta on Monday submitted before the Delhi High Court, asserting that the Supreme Court has ruled out against Indefinite suspensions. 

Moreover, Mehta argued that a maximum punishment of three days can be awarded for the first case of violation and seven days for the second. 

Seven BJP MLAs namely Mohan Singh Bisht, Ajay Mahawar, OP Sharma, Abhay Verma, Anil Vajpayi, Jitender Mahajan, and Vijender Gupta were suspended for the remainder of the Budget session for allegedly interrupting the governor's address in Delhi Assembly on 16th February.
