Moreover, a clash broke out between BJP workers and Basirhat police authorities during the march.

Yesterday, West Bengal governor C.V. Ananda Bose visited Sandeshkali after cutting short his Kerala program. He expressed grief on witnessing the miseries of Sandeshkali residents and assured that perpetrators would be punished.
